Public Speaking with Fergus McClelland, FSPA
Many people are afraid of speaking in public. This fear can be completely eliminated fast. The fear comes from lack of training. It is a sensible fear – most of us are also afraid of walking on a tightrope across a waterfall. When you are trained in any skill, the fear goes.
Fergus uses highly advanced psychology, software and performance skills to show you how to take your speaking to a whole new level. However good you are already, you will improve.
What are the best words to please an audience? Fergus knows.
What are the best ways to use your voice on a stage? Fergus will show you.
What is the best way to use your body, hands, face? Years of experience and training from the very best enables Fergus to show you simply and easily how to gain great public speaking ability.
Fergus really knows how to keep an audience riveted to his message. After training with Fergus, you will have that skill too.
Effective public speaking is an art and a science, NOT an accident. If you understand and practice, you too will be able to paint thought pictures in your audience.
Imagine knowing how to make an audience laugh, cry, be quiet, pay attention, relax and feel good. YOU CAN DO THIS.
Incredible but true, simple training in complex areas of speaking will show you the deepest secrets so that you can know not only that your speech will be effective but why and how to make it work every time.
Fergus would be delighted to discuss your requirements for the following services:
Keynote Speaking
As a performer all his life, Fergus has honed his natural ability in communication to the level where he can hold thousands spellbound by his stories, his amazing voice and his ability to arouse emotion in any one who hears him. Your conference, your trade show, your team who need inspiring will all benefit from Fergus’s massive knowledge, his life stories and ability to enlighten and inspire positive change. Audiences leave his keynotes smiling, amazed and with a greater understanding of any topic Fergus speaks on. His knowledge of NLP and psychology, his acting skill and his personal charisma always inspire.
His keynotes include:
“It’s Your Voice – Use It Or Lose It”
“Finding The Rich Chocolate In Your Throat”
“How To See The Underwear Of Any Speaker”
“Your Right To Shout And How Best To Do It”
“Whatever The Challenge, Speaking Right Will Help It”
“He Says, She Says – But What Did They Mean?”
After Dinner Speaking
As a highly experienced speaker, Fergus knows how to wake up any audience over coffee and brandy. People laugh, shout comments and learn new skills while Fergus plays with them. A raconteur all his life, Fergus weaves deeply meaningful messages into the simplest of stories. Audiences are enlightened, inspired and amused.
Motivational Speaking
We have all had life challenges, we have all had struggles, we have all had times when we’ve nearly given up. Somehow we’re all still here. Fergus shows us, in a humble way, how to appreciate how amazing we all really are. Taking examples from his own life and others, he shows us just how amazingly resilient we all can be and how much we can find within ourselves to make our lives bigger and better.
As a child actor, thrust into fame, Fergus faced beatings and bullying mixed with praise and early wealth. He was forced into an unnatural lifestyle from the age of 11. His childhood suddenly ended and he was a working adult, bullied by school teachers and jealous children, he had to find his own way to survive – just like the rest of us. He reminds us of our need for self-esteem and entitlement to speak up for ourselves and shows us how to build our true personal pride.
The better we feel about ourselves, the richer our lives become. Fergus helps us to find our true inner “feel good” factor.
Master of Ceremonies
The role of MC is highly demanding and specialised. Unlike Keynote Speaking or After-Dinner, the MC has to “be there” for other speakers. Using linking stories based on the previous and next speaker, the MC’s task is to glue an event together, raise the audiences delight in the other speakers and make the event work seamlessly. He doesn’t know beforehand what the other speaker’s are going to say, he can’t have everything totally rehearsed. An MC has to think quickly on his feet and Fergus has modelled on some of the greatest MCs in the world.
His years of experience as an MC enable him to leave his ego in the car park and flow with any audience and speakers.
